We keep communication clear from the first site visit to the final clean-up, so you always know what is happening and why.
A residential driveway is usually poured 100mm thick over a compacted base, stepping up to 125-150mm with steel mesh where trucks, caravans or trailers use it. The right spec depends on your soil and the loads the surface will carry, which we assess on site.
You can generally walk on it after 24-48 hours and drive a car on it after about a week. Concrete keeps gaining strength for around 28 days, so we suggest keeping heavy vehicles off it during that first month.
Sealing is not essential, but it is worth it. A good sealer helps concrete resist oil stains, moisture and UV fading, and makes routine cleaning far easier. We can seal new work once it has cured, or re-seal existing surfaces.
