Re-Sealing

Sealer being applied to a concrete surface
Concrete resealing services

Protect and refresh your concrete

Sealer is what stands between your concrete and the weather. Over time it wears off, and the surface starts to fade, stain and soak up moisture. Re-sealing puts that protective layer back and brings the colour up at the same time.

We re-seal driveways, paths, pool surrounds and patios across Newcastle, cleaning the surface first so the new sealer bonds properly and lasts.

The benefits

Why re-sealing is worth it

Extends its life

A fresh seal keeps moisture and contaminants out, slowing the wear that leads to cracking and spalling.

Resists stains

Oil, rust and organic stains sit on top of a sealed surface instead of soaking in, so they clean off.

Restores the look

Re-sealing lifts faded, dull concrete and brings back its colour and finish.

Sheds water

A sealed surface repels water, which helps in shaded, damp spots prone to mould and algae.

Our approach

The prep makes the seal last

A sealer is only as good as the surface it goes onto. We clean the concrete thoroughly, let it dry, then apply the right sealer for the surface and the way you use it, so the finish bonds well and holds up.

Step by step

How we re-seal your concrete

1

Assess the surface

We check the condition, note any repairs needed and recommend the right sealer.

2

Clean and prepare

Pressure clean the surface to strip dirt, old flaking sealer and organic growth.

3

Let it dry

Allow the concrete to dry fully so the new sealer can bond as it should.

4

Apply the sealer

Apply an even coat of the appropriate sealer for a protected, refreshed finish.

Re-sealing questions

How often should concrete be re-sealed?

As a rough guide, every three to five years, though a busy driveway in full sun may need it sooner. If water no longer beads on the surface, it is time.

Can you re-seal coloured or stamped concrete?

Yes. Decorative concrete relies on its sealer for both protection and appearance, so re-sealing is especially worthwhile on coloured and stamped surfaces.

Do you repair cracks before sealing?

We assess the surface first and can address minor cracks and stains as part of the prep so the finished result looks its best.

How long before I can use it?

Most sealers are touch-dry within a few hours and ready for foot traffic the same day. We will advise the exact times for the sealer we use and when it is safe to drive on.
