Mini Excavation

Mini excavator working on a site
Mini excavation services

Compact digging, precise results

Not every job has room for a full-size machine. Mini excavation gets into tight backyards, side accesses and confined sites to do the digging, grading and trenching that bigger equipment cannot reach.

We provide mini excavation across Newcastle for site preparation, footings, drainage and utility trenches, whether it is groundwork for your new slab or a standalone dig.

The benefits

Why mini excavation

Fits tight spaces

Compact machines reach through narrow side accesses and work in confined backyards.

Precise control

Accurate digging and grading close to fences, structures and services, with minimal guesswork.

Minimal disruption

Lighter machines mean less mess and less damage to lawns, paths and gardens.

Cost-effective

The right-sized machine does the job faster and cleaner, keeping labour and reinstatement down.

Our approach

Dig it once, dig it right

Good excavation sets up everything that follows. We assess the site and any services first, then excavate to the levels and lines your project needs, whether that is a slab base, footings, a drainage run or a trench for utilities.

Step by step

How we handle your excavation

1

Assess the site

We check access, ground conditions and the location of services before we start.

2

Set out the dig

Mark the levels and lines so the excavation matches exactly what the job needs.

3

Excavate cleanly

Dig to spec with a compact machine, keeping disruption to your property low.

4

Prepare and tidy

Grade and compact ready for the next stage, and leave the site clean.

Excavation questions

How small an access can a mini excavator fit through?

Compact machines can pass through gateways and side accesses under a metre wide. Tell us your access and we will confirm what will fit.

Can you excavate for my new slab or driveway?

Yes. Site prep and excavation are a natural part of our concrete work, so one team can handle the dig and the pour.

Do you locate underground services first?

We check for known services and take care around them. For anything uncertain, a service locate is arranged before digging to keep the site safe.

What happens to the spoil?

We can remove excavated material from site or relocate it on your property, whichever suits. We will include this in the quote.
