The benefits

Why choose resurfacing

Costs less than replacing

An overlay reuses the slab you already have, so you save on demolition, removal and a full re-pour.

Hides imperfections

A thin overlay fills minor cracks and blemishes for a smooth, uniform finish.

Adds slip resistance

We can build texture into the overlay to make pool decks and paths safer underfoot.

Fresh look, your style

Colour, stencil or stamp the overlay to completely change how the surface looks.

Our approach

A bond that holds

Resurfacing lives or dies on preparation. We clean and etch the existing concrete so the overlay grips, address the cracks that need it, then lay and finish the overlay evenly for a result that looks new and stays put.

Step by step

How we resurface your concrete

1

Assess the slab

We check the existing concrete is sound and suitable, and agree the finish with you.

2

Clean and etch

Pressure clean and etch the surface so the overlay bonds properly.

3

Apply the overlay

Lay the overlay material and work it to a smooth, even surface.

4

Finish and seal

Add colour, pattern or texture, then seal it for protection and easy cleaning.

Resurfacing questions

Is my concrete suitable for resurfacing?

If the slab is structurally sound with only surface wear or minor cracking, it is usually a good candidate. Badly broken or heaving slabs may need replacement, which we will tell you honestly at the site visit.

Will old cracks show through?

We treat active cracks before overlaying to reduce the chance of them telegraphing through. Minor surface cracks are filled and hidden by the overlay.

How long does resurfacing take?

Most residential jobs take one to a few days depending on size, finish and drying conditions. We will give you a realistic timeframe with your quote.

Can you change the colour completely?

Yes. An overlay is a fresh surface, so you can move from plain grey to a coloured, stencilled or stamped finish.
